PURCHASE LEDGER – London (Head Office)

The London office of Vivienne Westwood is currently looking for a purchase ledger to assist in the Accounts Department.
This role will provide day to day assistance in ensuring that financial reporting procedures operate in a timely and efficient manner with the addition of general administrative duties.

The role includes:
• Processing high volumes of invoices/credit notes and ensuring they are matched and coded onto the system.
• Controlling the purchasing of products and services from external suppliers through PO number issuing
• Collate all VW shop courier information and reconcile the data with the supplier.
• Statement reconciliation on various purchase accounts
• Analysing reports in preparation Financial Statements/Audits.
• Reporting monthly to HMRC the details of trade in goods with other EU member states
• Ad hoc account administrative duties

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain responsibility for the entire product design process including market research and design processes
• Providing design and proposing styles for the season under work
• Picture research for prints, style ideas, techniques and details
• Copying patterns when necessary
• Creating new designs when needed or amending new artwork and graphics

• Attending meetings with suppliers and liaise with Merchandiser and Technologists through critical path as well as meeting with fabric agents at the production company
• Generally managing everything and keeping track of deadlines
• Develop products from research to production to distribution to presentation and finally to the customer for acceptance Review sales given by business control unit and present to designers.

Skills and experience:
• Design or fashion related qualifications
• Understanding of garment construction, fabrics and print.
• Ability to design across both graphic and garments
• Understanding of the critical path with the ability to work to seasonal deadlines.
• Experience working within a team
• Manage timelines to ensure on time delivery
• Be competent in using Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Pattern making, draping and sketching skills.
• Knowledge of textile and ability to identify and manipulate fabrics
