Archive Internship

We are looking for a full time intern to assist in all aspects of running the archive at Vivienne Westwood.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the fashion and retail sector and it would be a good opportunity for those aiming to work in the fashion industry or related field.

Responsibilities will include helping to improve the existing systems of cataloguing our garments, as well as styling and working alongside the press office with call-ins. Interns may also have the opportunity to assist on photo shoots and catwalk shows.

Candidates should be confident with styling and have enthusiasm towards working with the brand. A knowledge of photography or fashion design would be an added bonus.

The role will be for approximately 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, although as this is a voluntary position, these requirements are flexible.

Red Label Design Intern

The London office of Vivienne Westwood is currently recruiting an intern to assist in the Red Label design department.

This placement will be to assist the design team, in both design and administration tasks.

This would be an invaluable opportunity to work with the designers, following the design process from initial drawing and toile to final garment. It will allow the applicant to work with other departments within Vivienne Westwood at presentations and meetings.

The applicant will be required to have these skills to apply:

-Must have a background or some experience in fashion design

-Technical drawing skills

-Strong knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Word and Excel.

-Good understanding of pattern cutting, garment construction and sewing skills

-Good written and spoken English

This position would require someone creative, motivated and resourceful.

The role will be for approximately 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, although as this is a voluntary position, these requirements are flexible.

Press Officer Assistant Internship

The central London office of Vivienne Westwood is currently recruiting an intern to assist in the Press Office Department as Press Officer Assistant.

The role will primarily involve assisting with sample management and tracking, maintaining showroom standards and assisting in the smooth running of the Press Department in:

-Booking in and out press samples

-Shipping press samples with courier services

-Press cuttings

-Maintaining the showroom presentation

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the fashion and retail sector and it would be a good opportunity for those aiming to work in the fashion industry or related field.  Helping on press days, fashion shows and any other events the press office assistant will be involved in:

-Answering the phone and taking messages

-Learning how an in-house press office works

-Getting knowledge of UK press (publications, stylists and editors)

-Learning how to work as a team and to deadlines

The candidate must have key organizational and time management skills.

The role will be for approximately 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, although as this is a voluntary position, these requirements are flexible.

Jewellery Design & Product Development Intern

The London office of Vivienne Westwood is currently recruiting an intern to assist in the Jewellery Department.

This placement will be to assist the jewellery designers and jewellery product manager with all aspects of their jobs, offering a unique learning opportunity.

You will obtain a valuable insight into the collection from design, initial research and ideas, through to design development.

You will see the sampling stages from prototypes to final samples, and will be involved with assisting the designers and product manager in the preparation of show jewellery.

The applicant will be required to have suitable skills to fulfill the following tasks:

-Marketing and trend research

-Researching new materials/components

-Practical skills are an asset when working on show jewellery

-General admin

You will need to be adaptable, and helpful and above all motivated. This position is for someone who is truly interested in learning and being part of a team.

Good communicational skills are a must as should be the applicants spoken and written English.

The candidate must have a good working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Word and Excel.

The role will be for approximately 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm, although as this is a voluntary position, these requirements are flexible.

Stock Administrator Assistant

The London office of Vivienne Westwood is currently recruiting an intern to assist in the Jewellery Stockroom Department.

The role will primarily involve assisting with Vivienne Westwood jewellery and deliveries from the suppliers but also general administrative duties:

- unpacking and allocating jewellery to customers orders

-making packing lists and preparing the shipment of jewellery and packaging

-updating the jewellery stocks regularly

-assist jewellery manager and assistants

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the fashion and retail sector and it would be a good opportunity for those aiming to work in the fashion industry or related field.

The candidate must be computer literate, precise and have good organizational skills.

The role will be for approximately 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, although as this is a voluntary position, these requirements are flexible.
