First gracing Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label Autumn/Winter 2013-14 Catwalk Show, inject your wardrobe with elegance this season with this truly feminine piece. In exquisite Grecian style, this lightweight, draped dress comes delicately blended in a silk mix. Vibrantly printed with the Pan print, a design based on an 18th Century wallpaper, the dress captures the destroyed parts of the wallpaper within the print connecting to the visual identity of Vivienne Westwood’s raw edges and broken designs, as epitomised in her Defile Collections. With a single sleeve, this draped neckline dress comes with a split to one side, to then delicately fall to floor.
This season Red Label its their inspiration from Greek mythology and with it the Gods of nature. Contemplating the seduction and sensuality of nature, delicate flora and wild fauna, Red Label introduces a number of new silhouettes. For this particular piece, Red Label focuses on Greek mythology and the great Olympian Goddess of hunting, wilderness and wild animals, Artemis. Also a goddess of the nymphs, Artemis is the paired down feminine part of the collection offering rounded shoulders, fitted high waists and hiplines creating a slight 40’s silhouette, contrasting between very voluminous and narrow silhouettes.
