Taking inspiration from when Sir Christopher Wren reconstructed London’s landscape, Vivienne’s focus for this collection was on how the transformation altered the individuals perception of their selves and their social standing. With heavy armours and medals no longer featured predominately, the light weight and softer draped blankets were used instead to represent the individual. Reminiscent of this time Vivienne Westwood has created this finely woven, softly structured dress. With a full, draped back, the carefully constructed sleeves are finished with frill detailing. This fitted, light piece comes with a soft, high neckline and the famous scribble Orb embroidery to the chest.
