Anglomania SS 2013

Our Anglomania Spring- Summer 2013 collection started with two of Botticelli’s paintings, Primavera (meaning Spring in Italian) and Pallas and the Centaur, both hanging in the Uffizi gallery in Florence.

Inspired by the flowers around Flora’s neck and the feeling of Spring in Primavera we paid tribute to the English summertime and English outdoor activities within the collection such as rowing, punting and picnics.

Floral prints and birds are complimented by boating stripes and ginghams and come in both fluid and tailored fabrics, further accentuating the English outdoors. Stripes are made to mimic newly painted garden fences and the beautifully illustrated flowers by Pierre Joseph Redoute have been revisited and modernised.

We have taken a romantic approach to our otherwise rainy summer season in England and thought of idle leisurely days in the sun; on the beach, picnicking in the park or punting on the canals
